Spencers Property Microbrewery Stage

The Microbrewery is a hugely popular feature of the Folk Festival. Nestled alongside the Allendale on Hanham Road (home of many of the Headline Concerts and the Saturday Evening Ceilidh), it's the perfect spot for food and drink - plus there's great live music on the stage, across the weekend.

Alt Taverna is the sound of Josh Sené Todd’s restless search for meaning - an indie folk project shaped by coastlines, questions, and years spent wandering both the world and the self. From early acclaim as a Young Guitarist of the Year runner-up to recording with Manic Street Preachers producer Greg Haver and touring nationally, his path has since taken him to the world of religion and philosophy in London, Barcelona and Dorset.

Matt Black "Who Is Matt Black?” A man with fingers that move like lightning… a sense of humour as sharp as a razor… and a face like the love child of Princess Anne and David Seaman (can’t win ‘em all!). All this is seasoned with a vast repertoire, and many, many years’ experience in corporate entertainment, after dinner entertainment, cabaret, pub sing-alongs, weddings, and piano bar music.

Cooley & The Gang. Blending powerful vocals, driving rhythms and crowd-pleasing classics, this dynamic three-piece band deliver high-energy live performances packed with rock, pop and indie favourites. With years of live experience and a passion for entertaining, they create a feelgood festival atmosphere guaranteed to keep audiences singing and dancing all night..

Dorset Phil has created a large following in Dorset with his lighthearted original songs about cider, Dorset and good times.

DreamcoasterLuring you into a sonic summer daydream of indiepop delight, Dreamcoaster is Brighton duo Jane and Andrew Craig, brimming with warm catchy melodies, immersive guitar sounds and bittersweet lyrics.

Dreamcoaster will perform songs from their acclaimed new album “Imaginary Reflections”, hailed by BBC Radio 6 Music as “fabulous; so warm and catchy” and as “a sophisticated achievement in independent pop” by The Big Takeover.

After being named Band of the Festival last year, Dreamcoaster can’t wait to return to Wimborne Minster Folk Festival in June.

The Fifinellas. Step back in time with The Fifinellas, a dazzling vocal duo who bring the golden age of swing and jazz roaring into the 21st Century. Named after the WWII Women Airforce Service Pilots, they bring tunes from the 1940s but delight with Postmodern Jukebox, songs of today in an old fashioned way. The Fifinellas are here to make sure the past never sounded so good!!

Fluke are an acclaimed covers band hailing from Weymouth and feature members of popular West Country bands The Crack, Pondlife and Jess Upton’s Guilty Pleasures. The line-up features keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and backing vocals, and the band perform slick popular covers from the 1960s to the present day. Each set is drawn from an extensive archive of pop songs which the band tailor to suit any audience – their current repertoire reads like the play list on your favourite jukebox!

Groovemeister bring the spirit of classic funk, soul and disco to every stage with irresistible grooves, powerhouse vocals and a razor-sharp live sound. Performing timeless dancefloor favourites from the ’70s and ’80s, this seven-piece band guarantees feelgood energy, big tunes and a packed dancefloor from start to finish.

Lee Rasdall-Dove best describes his music as a blend of Folk/Pop & Soft Rock. He has supported artists Luke Concannon, Samuel Jack, Sean McGowan & Hattie Briggs. Lee completed a tour of the UK with Coffee House Sessions 2016 to support his debut EP Head In The Clouds, which was featured on BBC introducing & Kerrang! Radio on #KerrangFreshBlood.

Loose Chippings are a lively, feelgood covers band bringing classic rock, indie and party favourites to the stage with energy, humour and a big live sound. Known for getting crowds singing and dancing from the first song to the last, they deliver the perfect soundtrack for a great festival atmosphere.

Men in Black

Men In Black are Paul Thomas and Charles Downs, who aim to have a good time and invite the audience to have one too!

Polly Morris BandPerforming laugh-out-loud funny songs, parody songs and also heartbreakingly poignant songs, The Polly Morris Band is a whirlwind of entertainment. The original songs, written by award-winning songwriter, Polly Morris, have clever lyrics and catchy melodies and bring a smile to your day. Combining fun with brilliant musicality this group has become synonymous with the phrase "Expect the Unexpected”. Prepare to be engaged from start to finish, or as one audience member put it, “They

took me through every emotion I had - from tears to laughter!”

RatRace

Ratrace. Established 1999, Ratrace ska band have been playing the UK & Europe for over 25 years. They've played alongside and supported Bad Manners (over 50 times), The Selector, The Beat with Dave Wakeling and many others, playing to over 75,000 people every year.

The Allsorts are a Dorset-based rock and indie covers band delivering energetic live sets packed with crowd favourites from artists including Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and Red Hot Chili Peppers. With big riffs, driving rhythms and plenty of singalong moments, they bring festival audiences to life wherever they play.

The Transitions are a dynamic two-piece band delivering reinvented rock, punk, ska, folk and pop covers with energy, humour and serious musical punch. From Cash to The Clash, they put their own twist on every song, creating a huge live sound without backing tracks and a festival set full of surprises.

Xtra Shot

Xtra Shot are a local family trio playing a variety of popular covers from across the decades. They comprise Chris Rae on bass and Andrew and Sandra Rae on guitars and vocals.
