Saturday Night at the Minster
Wimborne Minster is the name of the historic church as well as the name of the town. It's a wonderful setting for music and we have two shows - Saturday teatime at the Minster at 4.30pm, and this Evening concert at 7.30pm. Tickets for each available separately, or save with a combined ticket (or a Weekend Pass).

The Brothers Gillespie. One of the most requested acts to return after last year’s mesmerising performance, brothers James and Sam Gillespie found their sound growing up in the fells and valleys of Northumberland, their songs often describing relationships with wild places and the experience of finding oneself in a world alive with soul. The brothers have travelled widely and sung their songs at campfires, concert halls, Parisian circuses, folk clubs and a host of UK festivals including Sidmouth and Cambridge. Described by Folk Radio UK as ‘weaving an especially compelling magic’, and 'showing off British acoustic music in its best possible light', The Brothers Gillespie sing songs of great lyrical power, animated by the sound of soaring sibling harmony, inspired guitar playing and a rich array of acoustic instruments. We cannot wait to hear the beautiful blend of their voices in the amazing setting of Wimborne Minster Church. Watch video

Chloe Matharu is an Award-winning Scottish Indian singer songwriter and harpist from the West Coast of Scotland. Many of her songs draw on her time as a Navigational Officer in the Merchant Navy, inspired by the natural world as experienced at sea. On tour she performs solo with her harp in English, Scots and Welsh. Her music offers "an intriguing insight into a new tradition of maritime folk music, with thoughtful song writing embellished by her voice and superb harp playing" The Herald.
From 2024 Chloe will also bring electronic soundscapes to the stage, as heard in her single The Silkie of Sule Skerry, with a three-piece band. In 2023 she performed at Celtic Connections, Cambridge Folk Festival and Hartlepool Folk Festival amongst others. We're delighted to have her at Wimborne Minster Folk Festival to perform in the beautiful setting of the Minster Church. Watch video
With their own unique flavour of delicate-but-distinctive folk, Fly Yeti Fly are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Blending rich vocal harmonies with intricate guitar arrangements, mandolin and harmonica, and with a warmth of spirit that radiates from the stage, the Wiltshire-based duo weave songs and stories about connection, community and the seasons, with a sound that is reminiscent of the late ’60s folk scene. Now living on their canal boat on the Kennet & Avon, their music is heavily influenced by the ebb and flow of life on the water.
Absolute Festival favourites, Fly Yeti Fly have agreed to perform in the wonderful setting of the Minster Church this year, in what promises to be a stunningly beautiful concert.
